DAY FIFTY SEVEN (part II):

Nov. 6:
It's one in the morning and Michael Bloomberg, personal net worth
in excess of $4billion, has ben declared the victor in the New York
City mayoral elections. He takes 51% of the vote, versus 49% for Mark
Green. Flanked on stage by fellow Republicans, Mayor Rudy Giuliani
and Gov. George Pataki, Bloomberg says, "We suffered a terrible tragedy
on Sept. 11th, and we just are not going to let the terrorist beat
us. New York is alive and well and open for business. What we have
to do now is put aside any divisions....We are clearly going to have
enormous problems, but I know that we are up to the task. We can do
it."
"It's not important who's in the party, it's who's at the party,"
Bloomberg concluded. "Thank you so much, I will not let you down!"
Bloomberg, a divorced father of two, is noteably a politician, giving
an acceptance speech, without spouse on stage at his side. The electorate
knows little about his two daughters, one of whom has been an active
campaigner for her dad and stands now on the stage while her father
thanks his supporters.
Now New York's future is in the hands of two liberal Democrat Senators,
and Republican Govenor and Mayor.
Well, New York, you have chosen. Now w shall learn just who this Michael
Bloomberg, one of the richest men in the entire world, actually is.
Tomorow (Wednesday) the December issue of Vanity Fair hits the stands,
featuring a long article on bioterrorism by yours truely.
And now to sleep, perchance to dream of a better future...
Be well. Stay safe. Stand Defiant.
